Home, sweet home!

Its been a while since I've updated this blog - but since the last time my shopping spree has taken a turn to the worse and I am now in even more debt than any camera, car or travel purchase could ever account for. We have bought ourselves a house! A HOUSE!

We've often looked at prospects, but obviously it has never come to an actual purchase before.

Now about the house - its a neat, cosy country side house with a lovely garden, gas stove and a double garage. We will get the keys on October 1st, once we get back from the US.
I'm on top of the moon! To think that we in the autumn will leave our crummy 40sqm city apartment in which we have been living for almost 3 years - and move in to this! A little slice of heaven! It almost calls for a Stevie Wonder "Overjoyed" sing-along haha!

Making memories

In about a week I will head to Dubai and Muscat with a friend and soon-to-be ex-colleague at Jysk. Plans of cruising the Emirati desert in SUV's, seing the Burj Al-Arab and the very authentic arab city of Muscat is all very good (yeah, and my diamond shoes are too tight haha!), but I have been looking for a way to let all my loved ones in on the faboulous trips I am making these years. Not only this, but also making the trips memorable and lasting especially when my memory eventually will start to play tricks on me.

My tiny Olumpus Mju700 has been doing a great job so far, although it has its limits and there is only so much you can do with it. I consider myself a fairly reasonable photographer, but I could use some help and being lazy that help should preferably come from a better camera :-P

So I bought myself a proper SLR camera (I know - these days I have a serious spending problem - it must come to an end!). Hopefully this Sony Alpha 200 will provide the quality I want in my pictures and give you all a fair amount of drooling material in my ventures to come.

My Fiat, my Precious!

Last weekend I became an adult by doing something absolutely irrational and very woman'ish. I got myself a big, expensive loan by making an impuls purchase - oh yes!

Due to my recent job shift and future commute I am in need of a car - my first car to be exact. We decided to take a test drive on the "markets finest" - the Toyota Aygo. Fairly cheap, economical, practical (and deadly boring). Luckily it was out of the shop when we arrived, so we took the opportunity to sneak a peek at the neighbouring autodealer, which had the new Fiat 500 on display. What a nifty little car! An Italian design to die for along with the nostalgic feel of its predecessor. After a short drive of just 3km I just HAD to have it!

Before me lies 2-3 months of agonating waiting time before I can finally set my eyes on my pride and joy. Until then... my car as it will look once it wheels its little wheels out of the factory...
Wheeee...bloggie is set up..finally! I'm am a complete rookies at this... hopefully it wont show *blushing*
